To kickstart Half-term Art Club, we introduce you to the curious characters of artist-illustrator André Da Loba.

Find out how to make acrobatic little critters using simple materials, and make your own story!
Here's what I use in today's video. You may not have all of these but don't worry, there are lots of different things you can use instead.

Simple Strokes, Busy Streets!
TODAY'S LESSON:
Today's activity is inspired by French illustrator Marion Barraud, who creates quirky illustrations of street scenes using simple brush strokes combined with carefully drawn lines. Why not try this as a whole-family activity, and see just how large your street scene can grow to!
Here's what I use in today's video. You may not have all of these but don't worry, there are lots of different things you can use instead.

Drawing paper
Watercolour paints
A paint brush
Water pot and tissue for blotting
Black inky pen/handwriting pen
Magical Mono-printing!
TODAY'S LESSON:
In this video, Amy teaches three different printing techniques:
transfer draw mono-printing, surface draw mono-printing, and paper resist mono-printing.
Here's what I use in today's video. You may not have all of these but don't worry, there are lots of different things you can use instead.

several pieces of paper (A5 or A4 size maximum)
newspaper or  tablecloth to keep your surface clean
a pen and pencil
block printing ink*
small sticks or twigs
small pieces of stiff card
an ink roller (optional)
frames (optional)

*If you do not have block printing ink you can use acrylic paint with a small amount of washing up liquid added.
Potting shed fairies
TODAY'S LESSON:
Learn how to make your very own potting shed fairy with Amy and Dee! When you have finished, why not make a little home for your fairy too?

A wooden peg or thick lollipop stick
scraps of fabric, cut into squares
ribbons
wool or shoelaces etc.
