Tony Cragg is a British-born sculptor who was known in his early career for creating colourful collages from ordinary construction materials and household objects that had been thrown away. He found these objects on the streets and in rubbish dumps in West London. Be inspired by Tony Cragg to make an installation using recycled objects or toys you have at home. You could be adventurous and arrange your objects to make your own creature or shapes like a moon, star or heart. Using different colours for different body parts will help make sure your artwork has maximum visual impact!

You will need:

  • Around 50 colourful toys and everyday objects from around the house - pick five colours and aim to find 10 objects in each colour.
  • A flat area of floor at least one metre square e.g. a corner of your living room.
